Dr. John Kowalczyk is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatological surgeon. A native of South Florida, he attended The Miller School of Medicine at The University of Miami. As a medical student, Dr. Kowalczyk cultivated his growing passion for dermatology by contributing extensively to current research on the effect of autologous stem cells in chronic cutaneous wounds. After graduating from medical school, he completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, then returned to South Florida to complete a Dermatology Residency at The University of Miami/ Jackson Memorial Hospital. During this time, Dr. Kowalczyk served as Chief Resident, and upon graduation was awarded both the Excellence in Dermatologic Surgery Award and Award for Dermatology Research.
Dr. Kowalczyk combines patient-centered care that emphasizes patient education with an evidence-based clinical approach. He has authored more than 10 scholarly articles published in top medical journals and remains active with the University of Miami. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of national, state, and local dermatological societies.
Dr. Kowalczyk lives in Jupiter with his wife and son.
