Dr. Muhart grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida. She attended Barry University in Miami, Florida on a full scholarship and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1989. Dr. Muhart received her medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 1993 and graduated with Academic Honors. There she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and received several scholarship and achievement awards. After an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Florida, she completed her dermatology residency at the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1997. There she also served as Chief Resident and participated in several research projects including some of the first work done investigating the use of bioengineered skin. As a result, Dr. Muhart gave several lectures in the U.S. and abroad and published articles on the subject. Dr. Muhart is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is also a member of the American Medical Association, the Florida Medical Association, the Palm Beach Medical Society, and the Palm Beach Dermatology Society (Vice President 2000-2001). Prior to joining Palm Beach Dermatology in 1999, Dr. Muhart was on staff at the Cleveland Clinic in Fort Lauderdale. She has an office in Atlantis and is on staff at JFK Medical Center.
